Certified Professional Academic and Life Coach
Life Coach Kia, the founder of Be Wyse Life Coaching, is an expert in welcoming others towards living a lifestyle that empowers them to be their authentic self. As a certified professional and academic coach, Nakia serves as a Life Coach, Mentor, facilitator, and Public Speaker. She is an accomplished leader with enriched career development, organizational transformation, and diversity, equity, and inclusion leadership.
Nakia has worked alongside departmental and executive leadership in career development and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. She has a decorated history of leadership in the field of Healthcare Administration. She has served as Chair for the Administrative Professional Committee, is currently serving as Co-Chair for the Minority Leaders and Black Alliance Employee Resource Groups, and is an active member of the Diversity & Inclusion Council. Nakia also serves as a Wake County NAACP member and active volunteer for Wake County voting initiatives. Yet, one of her proudest service accomplishments is volunteering as Girl Scout Troop leader, where she is shaping and motivating future leaders that will rock the world. Above all, her greatest accomplishment is being the mother of two beautiful children, Aiden and Adalynn.
Nakia has held a passion for helping others since Kindergarten, yet that passion ignited towards empowering others as she endured and overcame hardships. Nakia has overcome early childhood trauma and knows the importance of transforming pain into a purpose by helping others.
Nakia founded Be Wyse Life Coaching amidst many difficulties. These difficulties qualified her to understand the needs of others and the power of navigating them towards a transformed positive mindset amid turbulence. She is no stranger to turmoil but knows how to turn pain into passion. During the start of Be Wyse Life Coaching, Nakia faced the dissolution of marriage, the passing of her father, and the loss of a grandparent. Yet each tragedy has strengthened Nakia's drive toward turning the pain experienced into a journey of helping others. Over the years she has discovered many passions rooted in service and impact. Drawing in on those values and formalized professional life coach training, Nakia is able to help clients design the life they desire. Join Nakia today in the transformational journey of being Wyse.
